Paisley B. Corner | @corner so I left it kind of open in his applications on his relationship with his siblings. I wasn't sure what you had in mind for her relationship with her half siblings. I read your history and saw that you had their father as a bit of a partier so I played off of that. I had it where Kasen's mother was a partier and fell head over heels for their father. When she felt like he was slipping away she 'accidently' got pregnant because you know babies fix everything. He got pulled back for a bit in the relationship trying to be a good dad but went right back to partying and was in and out of Kase's life. He has like a brother type relationship with his father as he doesn't really see him as a dad. Growing up he was always like the run brother or fun uncle who showed up every once and a while. He has more anger towards his mother since they did live in the same home and he hardly ever saw her. She was either out partying to messed up on something in her room upset over his father leaving her again.
I'm sure they both have realized their father has other children out there now we just need to figure out what kind of relationship they should have. He is the captain to the Appleby Arrows and also the beater so he would probably give her free tickets whenever she wanted them.
@sam ++ Ezra A. Morris I just had a quick look through Ezra's app and these two would have been the same year at Hogwarts! They have so many similarities with their love of fun and travel and both being quite vibrant people, it would be brilliant if they had been good friends at school and maybe Sam even visited Ezra when he was in the US. They could have kept in touch through the owls as they were both globe-trotting. Ezra settled down at the castle long before Sam did but I can imagine Sam starting there 2 years ago and not mentioning it to Ezra at all, then just sneaking in to the back of his Potions class on the first day of school and surprising him like a big kid in the back of the room. xD
Zaira is in WFABW, and she cares about it a lot - but her focus at the mo is very split. She's unafraid to call Dom out in meetings, but is aiming (long term) to be constructive with it. Idk it's a bit weird because they care about a lot of the same things, but also Zaira can be (quite intentionally) bitchy af, and I'm not sure how well that would go down between her and Dom? Tell me your thoughts
okay, okay. i feel like with these two it is so dependent on what happened early on. if they became friends in first year when they first met (which they might've - will get to) i think they could be really good mates who forgive the things that irritate the other - Zee is still passionate, ambitious, and ruthless, if less focused than Paisley. OR if they didn't hit it off early, they might really annoy each other - I think Zee would be frustrated by Paisley's sheer focus, and what she'd call lack of fun spiritedness (and i imagine a lot of zee's lack of focus would piss paisley off too).
re early on: Zee would definitely be that precocious kid who tries her hardest to make friends with her dormmates as early on as possible, and if Paisley was at all receptive she'd cling to that for all she could - but if she wasn't then Zaira would be Not Best Pleased.
@corner & Paisley B. Corner // These two are going to be so fun and interesting - their parents both really did a number on them both in different but similar kinds of ways. It's interesting cos Paisley's mum is different in that she fully took on the onus of raising the baby and trying to do the best for her all time, it's just Paisley and her mum's personalities don't match, and Paisley feels kind of similarly to the way Kace does about their dad, which is that sometimes her Mum feels more like an older sister than a parent? And all she wants a parent, and structure and rules. Weirdly her Dad feels more like a parent, but that's probably because she's not around him enough and she can project onto him, I think. And while Paisley is at odds with her mum sometimes and has a weird relationship with her, she still loves her a lot.
And yeah, Kace is the oldest sibling too, so he was the first, so I bet his disappointment and anger towards his Dad is kind of ten fold, because he's just seen him go on to do the same thing with three other women. I kind of imagine that Michael is probably a better Dad to Paisley and the youngest Corner than the other two? Not out of the fact that he cares for them more, but just because he started getting used to being a Dad and trying a bit harder. So Paisley might have a better relationship with him than Kace does? Also Paisley is his only girl, so I feel like he probably treats her a little better than the rest - still not great, because he's pretty absent, but better than the other children are used to attention wise, if that makes sense.
And yeah, I'm sure Paisley has always known about her brothers since she was born, but do you have any fun ideas about how you'd want Michael to have treated Kace in his childhood and how he was likely to find out about the other women and siblings he had but never got to grow up around? I feel like they've all hung out awkwardly one year on their dad's birthday when he decided to try and act like a family and all four kids had no idea how to act around each other because they're all related and have been at Hogwarts together with the same name but have only ever seen glimpses or heard snippets about the other ones and didn't grow up together. And Michael being completely oblivious to the fact, because he's not a good enough dad to think about these sorts of things. I think it would be cute for these two to be really awkward and wary of each other but then grow close to a proper brother/sister relationship and become the a proper family member that they've both clearly craved. This was an essay but THROW UR THOUGHTS AT ME i wanna hear them all.
@sam && Ezra A. Morris // omg yes they're the same age! I wonder whether in their super younger years whether they would have clashed a little before becoming friends, but then they realised they're both so similar and they became super tight after the fact? I would love for him to have come and see Ezra in NYC, because that would mean a character who knows of Ezra's past love Joey, and I think a lot of the appeal of the castle for Ezra is it being miles away from the world that he'd been in love with him in New York. But I can already seeing these two together being an absolute riot (who let them teach at Hogwarts together honestly, this staff is ridiculous. In the best way, obviously)
Dominique E. Weasley && Zaira Finnigan-Thomas // OOOOH OKAY! We know that Dom is going to argue the toss if someone disagrees with her, not necessarily because she thinks that the other person is bad, or whatever, but because when she believes in something she thinks you need to be willing to stand up for it and solidly argue your point. And she's not about to take any of that sitting down. THAT BEING SAID I doubt she'd view Zaira in the same way that she'd view Nate Nott, or even Christian, who she views as antagonising her just for the sport of it and not genuinely believing in what they say - only arguing a point to get a rise and be contrary, basically. Apathy is Dom's worst thing, and I feel like even if Zaira can be bitchy, as long as she's not apathetic Dom will find some way to deal. Like, it's not like she can't take it? So I dunno whether she'd consider Zaira among one of her close friends, I doubt that she'd dislike her at all. She has respect for her in the way she doesn't for other people who like argue with her, you know.
Paisley B. Corner && Zaira Finnigan-Thomas // I think Paisley would totally be receptive to Zaira in the beginning. Paisley was putting so much stock into going to Hogwarts, and making that castle her home in a way that she'd never had before, I'm sure anyone (especially in her own house and dorm) that made themselves friendly with her, she would have loved, even if she'd be no good at voicing how much she appreciated it. I like the idea that now they're friends but have traits that really grinds the gears of the other, but have learned to live with because they live together and have been friends for such a long time.
oh boy I just realised I never did this and after 2am rambling how excited am I about this
So Finn joined Hogwarts 4 years after Ezra, although he didn't actually become a full teacher until 4 years after that, but when you get to a certain age such gaps are smaller than what they used to be. Their classrooms couldn't be further apart from each other, with Finn up in the towers and Ezra in the dungeons, but they have a similar feel to them. They both read from the same teaching book of 'make it fun', which helps them form lesson plans when they get together in the staff room. At 35, Finn had a worse experience than fighting in the middle of the Battle of Hogwarts, and thankfully Ezra was the first person he ran into. I get the feeling that they were already pretty good friends before events but this definetly linked them in a way other professors don't have. On/around the anniversary I can imagine they're practically inseperable, but neither of them readily admits it - they just make lots of plans to get out of the castle whenever they have free time and there's usually a lot of drinks thrown back, which is why Finn mostly drinks coffee the rest of the year (of course, those friday night drinks don't count, they're just part of life). i have emotions and i'm not 100% sure how to form them into words lmao
Ezra A. Morris && Finn Offman // okay so this hurt me in every possible way thinking about these two and how they ended up where they are and i have no doubt that they have some deep repressed ~trauma from that night so yes absolutely every year they have just silently agreed that they need to work through it with each other. I'm sure it's going to reach a point where ezra is going to need to talk to someone when he gets closer to lily as his student and he's like fuck all i keep thinking about now is that she doesn't know i'm the one who was There, and Finn is going to be the only person he can turn to. Ugh. Pain.
END ME urgh and because they never revealed the actual members of staff who made the discovery they just have a lot of guilt and secrecy between them and it's like if they get close to any of the other teachers they're like do they tell them? is it something they promised to keep between the two of them to the grave??

(so i accidentally closed the tab whilst i was working on this but OH WELL)
So with their father's being brothers, the two have definitely met up before they got to Hogwarts, and also outside of the large family gatherings. Due to them being in the same year, they probably spent a bit of time growing up together, ending up playing some sort of Ground Quiddich (i.e. throwing a Quaffle around due to 'not yet' being old enough to fly) together as their parents visited each other at their houses. Apart from Christmas, Fred wasn't allowed outside of his house much when he was first born, but he doesn't remember these times very well as they were 'before his memory began', as he tells other people (and mostly himself), so this probably helped the two not completely grow up side-by-side, giving them time apart so they wouldn't be sick of each other by the time they got to Hogwarts.
They've most likely been to a Quiddich game together, both entranced by the professional players speeding around the large pitch. When they got to Hogwarts and into the team, there's probably a lot of familial banter and friendly competition between the two of them. Would they have both fought for the Seeker position? I can imagine them both not backing down and digging their heels in to get the place if they did; Dom's in determination, and Fred's just for the competitive edge.
Fred understands Dom's determination to do good, but they both have different ways in going about it: Fred's is mainly through humour without trying to dig too much into the subject matter itself, and Dom's with trying to change the fundamental issue issue at hand. He was proud of her for getting the WfaBW club founded, but had no interest in actually joining it. Planning ways on how to make people happy? He'd rather just go with his gut instinct - even if the current smiles wouldn't last as long as her changes.
If they're really close, she's probably seen the more complex side of Fred that the majority of Hogwarts don't get to see - the anxious, destructive, self-deprecating burden he sees himself as sometimes. It may have even happened during a visit to their family home, with perhaps George saying something off hand to Bill that he overhears and it sets him off in a spiral that Dom helps him calm down and pick up the pieces of afterwards? Of course, it depends how close they both are - maybe she doesn't know that side of him and it's a shock the first time she walks into the Gryffindor Quiddich changing rooms to find his kit completely destroyed? THERE'S MANY THINGS I'M SORRY I RAMBLED ABOUT MY SON
They share (I think?) two classes together in 7th year, but with how social the two of them are they probably managed to bump into each other in the corridor before they'd even gotten to their first lesson. Even if they just have some kind of passing friendship, they have most likely gotten into trouble together at least once or twice with Fred being mostly (if not completely) to blame.

oh hello this reply is late as hell BUT HELLO WEASLEY HEAD CANON MUSE better late than never amirite
Dominique E. Weasley && Fred Weasley // YES TO ALL THE ABOVE. I really like the idea of them not being as close as the other weasley cousins growing up and certainly makes like a really interesting of fred, dom and James Sirius Potter all going into gryffindor at the same time, given that james and dom pretty much grew up on top of each other (like Bill is That Family Member, his kids are easily the most socialised of all the cousins, they go to every family related event going). like they're the same relation to each other but they're starting off hogwarts way closer to each other than fred - and then them all getting to do quidditch together too? i bet their true family bonding properly started better there while they were at school together. I think Dom's always been more interested in being chaser, mostly because she likes being upfront and constantly part of the action. And yes I'm 100% part of this quidditch team bonding will have included going to professional games together (how could it not with ginny as their aunt)
I feel like Dom is exactly the sort of person that Fred needs in his corner, especially if over the years she's got to see him break down his walls a bit. She will fight for him, even when he's not prepared to fight for himself! We could definitely have fun with plotting out when/how/if they get close enough for this sort of relationship. i feel like if they weren't as close as kids they could have had a really important bonding moment mid teen years. would be interesting if this came at a time near or around harry's death cos i'm sure that changed dom's and james' relationship - perhaps this allows for her fred to become a little closer? WE HAVE MUCH TO DECIDE
Jasper M. Kirke && Fred Weasley // I'm so sure these two are friends and get along. Honestly it's hard for Jasper not to get along with anyone unless they're truly heinous, and with them both being so friendly, nice and outgoing they're sure to hit it off! Yay for friends!
William A. Weasley && Fred Weasley // NOW THIS IS A FUN ONE. Bc big brother Bill will have really wanted to check in on George a lot I'm sure during those early years without Fred bc Bill likes to butt in where he isn't necessarily wanted because he wants to make sure everyone's okay. George and Angelina could have taken this a whole load of ways and we can definitely plot something with that, but I'm sure Bill takes a special interest in Fred (and probably has a whole load of unaddressed issues about losing his brother Fred too). He'll have tried to make himself available to Fred as a kid as a kind of cool uncle, you can talk to me kind of figure in his life, and whether he viewed him that way or not is obv up to you. But like I said earlier Bill is a big family man, and will have been trying to encourage George to bring his family to way more events than he initially might have, and wouldn't have liked the idea of Fred and Roxanne being too separate from the rest of their cousins.
Yesss! Fred does eventually get to be around other cousins on a more regular basis (once George learns to Chill) but it'd be interesting to only really get close once the pressures of adults are out of the picture and he can actually learn about the other family members in his own time! Also yes, Ginny would take them all out to so many quiddich matches and the rivalry between them for chaser would be amazing - how would Dom have reacted when Fred was picked over her? Fred wouldn't rub in it her face (except in jest, because otherwise that's just being a dick) but his straight forward jokes can be a bit grating. Also PROTECTIVE COUSINS I LOVE!! Yes to bonding around Harry's death because wow does that take a toll on the Weasley family, and emotions would be high. Especially with them both being on the quiddich team she would see his walls come down a little bit, maybe even whilst they're both fighting for the same place because he has doubts about maybe he should just be a beater instead but expectations and they talk about it and ooft my heart hurt.
Oh man I can see Fred being really annoyed at first with him interfering a little because why specifically him when there's his sister too? But then he realises that Bill is just That Way with everyone and he doesn't get as anxious with him coming to check up on George's family anymore - especially if it means he gets to see the cousins. Probably wouldn't have let Bill see any of his walls breaking down (because Fred tries his best to keep them up when at home and around other Weasley Adults), but just having that support there would mean a lot to him!
