JAMES S. POTTER
APPLICATION Mischievous, easily bored of the circumstances, socially lazy, unquenchably competitive. Young James had to find a way to constantly be at the center of attention, even if it was at the expense of others. Thankfully, as he's grown up, this has started to wear off a little bit. What hasn't gone away is his wry need for competition. He is convinced that he needs to be the best at everything that he has ever done, which is incredibly obnoxious to anyone that isn't him. He likes to have a good time, play pranks with his friends, but mostly he spends his time try to get better at Quidditch and focusing on the statistics and new equipment in all the editorial magazines he has owled to his dormitory window. Now, he is on the brink of an identity crisis. Having always been compared to his father and grandfather, he's going through a phase of his development where he rigidly rejects concept that link him to his family. For example, he recently was named Quidditch Captain for his seventh year, but he quit the entire team before the first night's feast! I think James is a universally approachable character, roleplay-wise, meaning that we should definitely be able to cook something up between him and your characters. Let's get to it!
FRIENDS Dominique E. Weasley Cousins of the same age- of course these two grew up in close quarters. Though they do get along splendidly, there's always the usual tension. He thinks her club is ridiculous and she can't understand why James quit quidditch. There's love there for sure, but there's also two headstrong people (who care about each other) butting heads. Charlotte Longbottom The best friend of your close cousin? Nothing to worry about. Unless there's a lot of alcohol and a promise not to do anything stupid involved. Yeah...nothing to worry about...right? Lily Luna Potter Little sister, big problems. James doesn't take too kindly to the idea of his sister growing up, even though he knows that she's going to anyway. They've never really talked about what happened to their dad, but there's a mutual and unspoken understanding of the trauma. @undecided Sebastian and James have shared a dormitory since their first year, taken nearly every class together, and also played on the house quidditch team. When asked who James considers to be his best friends, look to 'Bash' and the other seventh year Gryffindors for your answer. Nathaniel Cyril Nott Who could remember how these two controversial and different people became friends? Are they friends? People aren't really sure. They don't run in the same circles, but they know an awfully lot about each other for just being acquaintances... Argus Narcissus Barbary While James would adamantly deny being cut from different cloth than Argus, the two are markedly similar. They have mutual friends and have recently become more acquainted. While James was of the mind that Argus was an asshole, the more they spend time together, the more he understands just how similar they are. @abby James and Andy met one they were both part of their house quidditch teams, and in the beginning, he didn't like her very much. Now, from their rivalry, a friendship has developed, although from James' perspective, you would have no idea that Andy and Nate were related. Jasper M. Kirke Jasper's incredible confidence and self-assuredness does rival James', but in a completely different way. Jasper displays affection- which James has always fastidiously avoided. Jasper just might open up James' eyes to the merits of it, as well as other things...
FOES
FANCIES Ceres Selene Abercrombie Although it's never going to happen, James relentlessly chases the idea of a chance with Cece Abercrombie, who he (and most others) consider to be the hottest girl at Hogwarts. Her charming personality, friendliness, and interesting quirks only add more fuel to the fire. Maybe someday, (probably not).

VALENTINO M.T. ROSIER-ROWLE
APPLICATION Born to pureblood parents of questionable mental and moral stability, raised with harrowing social skills and a nearly complete incompetency for magic, now a multi-millionaire technology mogul who is changing the social culture of the wizarding world forever. "The Quiv", modeled after a muggle mobile device, launched magical communication, which was once bogged down by owls, into the 21st century. If you want a brief intro to Quivs and how you can use them on the site, check this out. Val is a highly intuitive fellow, who thrives on opportunity and potential. He can be results driven and short tempered, and his private life has often suffered from his convictions to his work. Val's company touches all sorts of spots in the wizarding world, so I'm sure there's a way for him and your characters to interact. Drop me a line, even if you don't have an idea. I can help think of one.
FRIENDS Ezra A. Morris Although Val was, perhaps, one of the worst students that Ezra might have taught at Hogwarts, he's glad to have retained a friendship with his peculiar professor. Their friendship consists mostly of dinners where Ezra has multiple opinions on any given subject in Val's life- but Val will always listen. Ezra believed in him when many people did not. And hey, the guy's really fun to be around. That doesn't hurt one bit. Dominique E. Weasley Although these two have yet to formally meet, Val has always taken a keen interest in Hogwarts' best and brightest. Currently a member of the board of trustees, he's found a handful of successful employees by scouting the school from his engagements. Dom is the latest student to catch his eye, and getting involved with her newest venture just might be the ticket to securing her loyalty and her hard work. Benjamin Callum Vance It's hard to say if these two are friends or not, but they are more than aware of one another. Val worked in the Muggle Liason Department when Ben was MM (there were more than enough incidents of damage control to prevent the muggle PM from dying of shock). It's hard to say where this powerful acquaintanceship will lead, but when you put a political mogul and a technology tycoon into the same room, the conversation is bound to be interesting.

NIKOLETTE I. ABERCROMBIE
APPLICATION Let's say that you met Niko in class. You didn't know anything about her, and then you learn that she has a twin. Out of everyone in Hogwarts who is a sixth year, the last guess of who her sister might be is Ceres Abercrombie. Unlike her flawlessly bubbly and beautiful sister, Niko is more introverted, and finds delight in the offbeat and the strange. She is an artist, a reader, and a keen observer, who is never caught wearing makeup, with her hair done, or with any discernable sense of fashion. Her sense of humor is more wry and dry, which can make her seem somewhat callous, or closed off. Mostly, people avoid her because she's sort of weird. The only reason she's not completely socially outcast is because Cece legitimizes her ability to participate in the social climate of the school, most of which Niko chooses to excuse herself from. She could use some friends who can put up with her weirdness, though! I'm down for fun plots!
James Sirius Potter - so I went over plot pages and realized something Andy and James are super similar. Like really similar. There are a few differences. But just a few. The both love pranks, having fun, quidditch and most importantly they've both fallen into a state where they are trying to separate their selves from their families, though Andy's been trying to do this since birth. She's a twin and hates the ideas of twins. She wants to be her own person. She's obsessed with the idea. But at the moment she is just kind of living her life. I think these two would become quick friends despite their differences in life, house and whatnot. Maybe they both were sneaking out late at night and ran into each other and just decided to pair up and have ever since? They write to each other and scheme, pretend to study together and what not. They would be rivals but super close. They just keep each other engage and keep each other moving forward. And she has no problem opening up to him like she does her brother, which is super hard for her to do. And maybe she has a crush on him, maybe starting last year when all those things become relative. So if you're down, maybe she's noticed the big difference in him, starting with him quitting quidditch. That would blow her mind and what not.
Similar but still different enough. I think these two balance each other out nicely, especially when it comes to the smaller things – Sebastian being too independent sometimes, forgets to include people and at times to take others into consideration whereas James is a very inclusive person. I can already see James hitting Sebastian on the side of his head for being an ass and neglecting something important. They both dislikes chocolate, well, Sebastian dislikes anything sweet really but chocolate is definitely on top of that list. In fact, he pretty much hates Valentine’s day because of chocolate. Then there is Quidditch, both of which they love and both of which they are part of… or was. I don’t think Sebastian would've been confused about it, and probably would have understood it if he only quit being the captain but not the whole team. Now he kind of just thinks it’s a joke and keeps waiting for James to pop out from behind the bleachers and shout “Haha, fooled ya!”

@abby These two should be friends. They're both seventh years, so they obviously would have initially known one another even if they weren't acquainted because they're in different houses. Maybe when Quidditch started up, and they were on rival teams, they became familiar with one another and a rivalry turned into a mutual respect/friendship? If she did have a crush on him, I bet he wouldn't know how to handle it. He would be conflicted because they are such great friends!
@undecided Since they're in the same house and year, it wouldn't surprise me that these two are really comfortable around each other and really good friends, as they've been sharing a dormitory for the last six odd years. They make a fine and fun pair. I do want to make a few adjustments to your statements about James so we're on the same page though Inclusive is more...tolerant. He's not necessarily someone who will walk up to a group of people and invite them to spend time with him. He's still incredibly aloof and conceited. He just doesn't really judge anyone for their shortcomings...if that makes sense? Also, they'll be hitting each other on the sides of the head- James is pretty flaky and disconnect at times, he doesn't really value commitments and promises the way that one would expect a friend to. I like the angle of Sebastian being like, ok James, the jig is up- but James is still completely serious. It could add a new element of seriousness to their friendship, where its tested to see if its real. Let's thread!!!
Fred Weasley&&James Sirius Potter I feel like these two have had a lot of good times over the years. Fred is not a competitive person at all, nor is he super fanatical about Quidditch (although he enjoys playing for Gryffindor), so he probably just shook his head in mild amusement whenever James tried to prove he was the best at whatever they were doing. Also, James quitting the Quidditch team wouldn't have bothered him so much, and he wouldn't press his cousin for answers. Freddie's mostly concerned about enjoying their last year at Hogwarts to the absolute fullest, so as long as James is still down for having fun amidst his identity crisis then Fred's all good.
