History Maker
Born: December 13th. Sagittarius.
-----
Age 4, - Its hard to think she was ever that small. Looking back at the small brown braid that her mother had used to pull back her hair and the yellow ribbon tied at the bottom it was hard to not forget that feeling, or that ribbon. Born December 13th she was Neville and Hannah's second child, her older brother --- was born the year prior. They had always been close kids, nearly inseparable at that age. The photo in her hand showed all four of them, smiling in the garden out back of the house. She and her brother had dirt on their faces from the freshly planted garden. They had always been a happy family, you would have never guessed their life her parents had lived prior to this.
Age 6, - Of course Charlotte had visited her grandparents before, but this time it was different. She was older though now and could finally get a grasp on the situation. Her grandmothers hands always seemed to fiddle with candy to give to her granddaughter, a piece of gum she liked as a kid her father would fill her in. She always enjoyed sweets but it always mean more to her. After she hate the candy she would usually bring the paper home with her and would doodle on it. Little things like hearts, flowers, whatever her mind could bring to think about. This happened every time she went to see her till around two years later on her grandmothers birthday she brought a jar full of them for her to see. Charlotte understood that she didn't necessarily understand the significance, but she smiled none the less.
Age 9, - Charlotte loved her brother and her family, but she was so tired of the world being decided for her. She was either a Longbottom, or Slongbottom as some children said teasingly. She was ---'s younger annoying sister. She wanted to be own her person. None of her parents's friends could believe that Neville Longbottom's youngest child had another kids skin turn florescent green after tricking them to drink from a drink mixed with something she still has yet to confessed to. George Weasley at least thought it was funny.
Age 10, - Starting Hogwarts hadn't been like anything she expected. That year a lot changed, both her parents started working at Hogwarts to be close to their kids and to do what they loved. Her father taught Herbology, mother ended up working as a healer in the Infirmary. Her brother had of course already started the year prior but now was her chance. She remembers sitting patiently in the Great Hall as Headmaster Mcgonagall called out her name. She climbed herself into the chair as she sat there, waiting for her choice to be made. Her father sat behind her at the table of teachers, brother with his fellow Gryffindors, all eyes were on her in that moment. The hat was barley on her head for a five seconds before it called out
"HUFFLEPUFF" and she was carted off with cheers and smiles.
That year she made more friends than she could count and found a place to call her own.
Age 12, - She remembers screaming at her dad angrily, never understanding why she was like this. He tried to assure her that he was the same way as a student. Had to work twice as hard to make passing grades, push past all his own limits. Anxiety and Dyslexia do that to people. It was frustrating beyond her years and she knew he meant well but she wanted to just have a hissy hit and call it a day. A few days later he had come back with a little gift bag, inside was something that he said had always helped him to keep his head on straight as he grew up and even as a professor. The small glass ball wasn't much, but it was a remind she would always be able to lean on her family for anything. Now if only she could remember what she was forgetting.
It was her Charms paper. Age 13, - The only thing that sucked about having her family literally all around her school is she could never get away with anything. It was late at night, sneaking around the school grounds she smiled and pulled a wackie talkie out of her pocket. Magic could be traced in the castle, muggle technology though? Priceless.
"This is charlie alpha, are we a go?" she spoke quietly into the walkie, waiting for the signal to fill infiltrate the Slytherin dorms in order to get some well deserved payback on someone who decided to trick her into writing their herbology paper for them. However the sudden pressure on her shoulder made her nearly just out of her skin.
Behind her stood her father and one very defended looking accomplice. "Charlie Alpha? Really."
"Its my code name."
Luckily he laughed so she only had one week of detention instead of two.
Age 15, - Its hard to say she had better friends than she did not. Watching her two friends plan the next club happenings Charlotte leaned back in her chair and chewed her gum quietly as not to disturb her friends train of thought as of right now. They all balanced each other, like a check and balance for their best and worst traits.
Charlotte's Knapsack
Charcoal and Sketch book set ; A gift from her mother. Mostly for in between lessons. Its mostly filled with sketchy quick drawings of places around the castle, her friends and messy black thumbprints.
Droobles Best Blowing Gum ; A necessity for Charlotte, who keeps a constant supply on her at all times. It doesn't matter where she is, class, the dorm, the great hall. Its not just a habit anymore its a part of her life. There is a jar in her dorm where she puts all the discarded doodled wrappers in.
Vials of different herbs ; Sometimes shes not even sure what are in these but its always good to have some on supply at all times.
Her Fathers Remembrall; More for sentimental value than anything else. Occasionally when she forgets what she was about to do.
Otters Fizzy Orange Juice; Duh.
One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi; The only text book she really cares to actually have on her at all times, plus it helps her to figure out whatever the hell she has in all those vials.
