[PTabbedContent] [PTab=PERSONALITY] I WON'T TURN MY BACK ON YOU
[/PTab={background-color:#f0f0f0;width:530px;height:290px;padding:10px;padding-top:0px;margin-top:-6px;}] [PTab=BIOGRAPHY] TAKE MY HAND I WON'T LET YOU FALL the words i've never said You were the one that changed everything for Alexander Montague and Penelope Clearwater. Their world was turned upside down when you were born, mostly because they didn't know Penelope was pregnant. Your mother had no signs of being pregnant other than a little bloating, but your mother wasn't particularly skinny anyway. Your father always yelled at her for not being in shape, and even more so after you were born because she should have known she was carrying his child. The fact that you were a boy, though, quickly cleared Alexander's anger about the situation. He had a son - a son to pass the family name onto. You were perfect. It wasn't as though your childhood was particularly tough. In fact, you had practically everything you could ever have imagined. Your family lived in a mansion on the outskirts of Scotland. Your mother had a job working as a shopkeeper so when she could go back to work she did - not because she had to work, because your family had money, but mostly to get away from your father who 'worked' from home. You had a nanny who tended to you while your father was locked away in your study. You were far from lonely, though. Your mother had plenty of love to give you when she was home and your father was quite proud of the little boy you were growing to be. A few years later, your mother purposely got pregnant and had your little brother. Your father eased up a bit on your mother, it seemed, for blessing him with two boys. He refused to have anymore children and was insistent that you two were enough, though your mother wished for a girl. Still, your mother didn't have any regrets about you or your brother like she did marrying your father. It was apparent to you, as you grew up, that your mother really disliked your father. They had a lot of problems when they were around each other, which was the reason your family Sunday dinners were cut short. Your mother took you and your brother away to Romania on a 'trip' she called it, though you spent the next year and a half there. You liked it and the fact that you got to see dragons and other cool things, but you missed your dad. He missed you too, apparently, because he finally came and found you all. For some reason, your mother and father actually hugged when he arrived, and from that point on things seemed better. When you got home, they actually slept in the same bedroom and you began taking real family vacations together. You were glad they seemed to fix the problems between them. When you were eleven, you finally got to go to Hogwarts. On your trip to Diagon Alley to fetch your books and such, you received a barn owl of your own who you named Declan. Your brother seemed pretty jealous, but you knew he'd have all of your year away to experience the selfish, lonely life. When you were sorted into Slytherin, your father was prouder than he'd ever been of you. He said you'd make quick friends there and he was right. He advised you to make friends with the 'right' people, but you didn't care so much about that. You made friends with people of all the houses, though most of the people in Hufflepuff didn't really like your pranks or humiliation stories that followed. It was expected of you to do well in school and you did. There was nothing to stop you because your intelligence exceeded all of your parents' wishes and you shocked even yourself. You put forth the effort and got nearly perfect marks in every class, making your reputation for being smart, but cool, the forefront. You became somewhat of a staple in Slytherin house for being one of the brightest students in your year, but you were also still an immature little kid. You weren't always the kindest person, but kindness wasn't what your father stressed as you grew up. In fact, he sort of brewed you for being the hard-edged person you became. In your third year you went out for the Quidditch team and made it. No one was truly surprised as you had a naturally athletic build and had been preparing for it for the previous two years on your own. Your father had taught you to fly a broom (not masterfully but at a basic level) and you took to it naturally. While you were great as a Beater, your father assured you that you had to focus on school, as well. That would be the future for you - something academic, something you could make a name for yourself. Quidditch only lasted as long as your body did, as he would say. Everyone was shocked in your fifth year when you completely failed every class. That October you learned that your father had been kicked out of your home and when you returned for Christmas, he still wasn't there. Your mother said he had been cheating on her so she threw him out, even though it was his own family's home. You were furious - not at your father, but at your mother for kicking him out and not fixing it. You didn't understand why she would want to ruin your family. Your father tried to come by for Christmas day, but your mother refused him. To not make a scene in front of you and your brother, he left - but you wanted to go with him. After that Christmas, you returned to Hogwarts and did absolutely nothing. You refused to do your classwork, even at the begging of your professors who knew the potential you possessed. There was no going back when they told you that you would have to repeat the year and no longer be eligible to play on the Quidditch team. You hated yourself for ruining your school career for something as stupid as that, but what's done was done. You didn't punish your mother, only yourself. Your father was able to come back that summer, but you're pretty sure your mother only let him back so you would be happy. You didn't care what the reason was because you were happy. At first things between them were awkward and unlike before, but they did get to a point where they became happy again. People at school still thought highly of you, even though you failed. You proved your worth during your sixth year and by your seventh year, you became part of the Quidditch team again. You had all the girls you could have ever wanted, though one in particular seemed to tug at your heartstrings. You wanted her close, but you also were young and every girl was thrusting themselves at you. You were weird, you were into things other people side-eyed you for, but for some reason you were still on top. That's where you liked it. You graduated school with little acknowledgment for it as it took a year longer than it should have. You wanted to become a Wand-Maker but your father was adamant that you did something more productive, so you went into the Ministry as an Auror-in-Training, though your plan is to switch to being an Obliviator after you've gone through the proper, field-specific training. Your interest in wandlore is still there, and maybe one day when you're older you can open your own wand shop once you have experience making actual wands, but until then you'll have to continue working in the Ministry. Your life holds multiple options due to your skills and abilities, but you'll have to choose what path to take sooner than later. The path your father has set up for you may not be what you enjoy, but it may be the best.
