The plot will be determined by the characters of the site as of now - future plots will change as these forces weigh in on the Wizarding World, and we see where these characters take us. So join in and let your character make their mark!

It's time again for another site update! We're so happy to see the things we introduced last time becoming a part of the site - there are so many exciting things happening in the The Sandbox and Quivs, and we LOVE it!
An extra reminder that if you have a Flex Account, be sure to log in to check the messages - this is your first point of contact with the Admins and all Site Updates, Activity Check reminders and general messages will come through there. We don't want you to miss anything!
Without further ado, onto the news:
1) Activity Checks
We just want to stress that here at Hell Hath No Fury activity checks are really no biggie. We're very film in our philosophy that RP-ing should be a hobby that you enjoy, and we don't want it to be anything more stressful than that.
Real life will always come first.
If you get unexpectedly busy and need to take some time off for literally whatever reason at all - whether it be illness, holidays, job stuff, life stuff or anything - you'll get no judgement from us on the staff. Just let us know either by posting in the absences board or privately messaging one of us that you'll be away for some time/won't be able to meet the activity check criteria in time, and all will be well - we promise.
That being said, we do have one request re: Activity Checks. We would like it, come Activity Check time (which will come at the end of every month) that if you are active - please post in the thread!
The purpose of the check is just meant to be an easy way for us to identify who is and isn't active - once you post in there it saves us having to follow up on your activity. And we like anything that makes our lives a little bit easier (haha).
We're really not all too strict here because like we say, this is all a bit of fun really, so the last Activity Check was us more taking stock rather than seriously considering people/characters inactive (which, we'll be honest we don't really like the word inactive anyway). Plus, we're a new site, so we know things take a little while to really get going. But our next Activity Check will be taken just a tad more seriously, and we will be following up on the members who don't post in the check.
But we want to emphasise this shouldn't be something to stress over! For you character to be considered active you simply have to had made one post with them in the past month. If you miss the activity check/haven't met the requirements - you won't be deleted. Your character will simply be moved to an interim 'holding' group while we're able to get in contact with you to have a chat, assess activity, and give you a little extra time for to meet the check requirements.

2) Time Progression
With all that being said re: Activity Checks, we thought now would be a good time to announce that we'll be slowing down the time progression on the site.
The purpose of this is that we feel like the speed of moving along in real time is limiting the amount of plot and threads that we can all realistically achieve with our characters. And that's what we want - plot! And lots of it.
We haven't come to a firm decision about how much we're slowing down time progression by - i.e. whether there'll be a firm system to it, or whether we'll change the month when we feel like it's time to move the plot along. But for now, we'll be staying in February 2021, even as our own time moves into March.
Announcements about time progression will happen on the Site Timeline, the updates in the header, and through our site updates messaged to your accounts.
As always, feedback on these kinds of decisions is always welcome, so please feel free to drop us a message if you have any thoughts on this.
3) Site Timeline
We're getting to building a proper site timeline! We want this to be a representation of our site canon, which we know is going to naturally grow over time with plot progression - but a lot of our site canon is ultimately going to be up to your characters and how they shape the universe.
If you feel like there are events/dates that should be included in the site timeline, please let us know!
