[/PTab={background-color:#f0f0f0;width:530px;height:290px;padding:10px;padding-top:0px;margin-top:-6px;}] [PTab=BIOGRAPHY] My life started the day I got caught “Bloody hell. ‘Mione. Where’s Rose?” That was a phrase said quite too much in the Granger-Weasley clan. Rose was born nine months before her brother Hugo, and she was quite the handful. There was never a dull moment. Rose was a quick learn from the start. She’d watch everyone with big light brown eyes. If they did something, Rose tried her hardest to mimic though she had no control of her body. When Hugo was born, Rose was standing. Once she was standing, there was little time before she was walking. She was then in everything and was everywhere. "Not my broom!" Rose, like Hugo, was daddy’s girl. She shared a similar relationship with her mother, but it was so much easier getting a reaction from her father. When she was about four years old, Rose found Ron’s broom and managed to get three feet in the air when they found her. She was more than a natural, but had little interest in Quidditch when her father tried to push her. When Rose started to notice the bond between her father and brother, she decided to back off. She never once saw just herself. She also saw her and lover him dearly. She wanted to give to him but not overbear him. "Knowledge is a powerful thing, never forget that." The moment Rose backed off a little from Ron and Hugo, Rose ended up with a closer bond to Hermione. The two spent countless hours reading books. It didn’t matter what it was, Rose would sit down to just hear her mother speak. And then it came to a point where Rose was reading to Hermione. Books were a place Rose felt most at home. She’d go every once in awhile to play on a broom still with the men, but honestly, Rose couldn’t wait to pick up a wand. She also had a large interest in music. She was about four when her mother put her into piano and then at eight she asked for a guitar. Rose was definitely a talent witch and she never said no to a chance to learning something new. “Yew? Inflexible? Dragon Heartstring? You’ve got to be kidding me Ollivander. She’s going to struggle!” Even though Rose and Hugo were practically the same age, Rose ended up going to Hogwarts the year before Hugo. Now looking back on it, Rose was glad. She didn’t want some big competition between her and her brother. She thought, them being in different years would set them apart instead of competing against each other. Rose had always saw them as equals who needed to strive and look out for each other and she was glad she could do that for them. There was one moment Rose remembered before her first year. They all were out in Diagon buying everything Rose needed for her first year. The girls separated from the boys and Hermione decided to take Rose in for her wand. Rose went through one too many, but the wand that picked her, Hermione was not okay with. “I’ve read the lore Ollivander.” Rose was more than excited to be practicing magic and she had a wand to do it with. “Yew has an affinity for.” Rose remember Hermione looking at her with worry, “Curses and hexes and the like.” She avoided the phrase “dark arts.” “And Yes has just as many heroes as do they villains.” But Hermione wasn’t having it, “And dragon heartstring? It easily can turn. And then you have inflexible!” She remember her mother shaking her head annoyingly. “Yes, she’ll have to work a bit harder, but she’s your daughter. I’m not worried.” There was no way around it. No matter how hard Hermione argued it. Rose had a wand that left her endless possibilities. And in that moment, she didn’t really know to do with it. “Another Weasley. But a Granger. Just like your father. But also like your mother. Ravenclaw would love to have you. Your mind is suited for that, but your heart? GRYFFINDOR!” Even though Hermione worried about the wand choice, Rose hardly struggled. When it came to using her hands and a wand, there was no limit for Rose. She’d watch the professor very carefully. She’d observe the moment, the angle of the arm, the flick with the wrist. Every little piece. Rose had an affinity to see it. And then to replicate it took a try or two. She was a prodigy when it came to a wand and she wanted to know it all. It was the beginning of a curious nature that nothing would be able to fill. When Hugo came to Hogwarts, she made the vow to not join quidditch, no matter how well her flying lessons showed or how well she did when they’d play for fun on the weekends. Flying was talent she had, but Quidditch was her brother’s love and her father’s bond to them. She saw it and she couldn’t interrupt it. So in her second year, when her flying professor recommend her to try out for seeker. But Rose politely declined. She said she’d stick to her music and wand work. Third year came and Rose learned about the restricted section. She already read all her books with her mother the summer below and needed more. She knew there were many books in the library she could go through, but Rose couldn’t resist the allure of the restricted section. Though she had no reason to go in. She tried asking a few professors for permission, but it was only for research if you had a specific topic. Rose ended up spending her third year watching the way the library worked and the way the halls were monitored. By her fourth year, Rose had a plan. She’d sneak off and see how much had changed between that year and this. A few months in, Rose had a schedule and plan. Her first night in the restricted section she observed all the books. She found some changed and she knew she wouldn’t be able to sneak them out. When she would find a book that made way too much, she’d stay clear for a couple more months. Rose began to learn more secrets and her mind would open more. But it wasn’t enough. She needed more knowledge. There wasn’t just charms and spells, there were hexes and curses and magic that even the library didn’t carry. In her fifth year, Rose took a break from the restricted section. Her focus was her OWLS and she was invited to be a Prefect. She had more responsibilities. She studied long and hard and kept out of most social circles. She needed perfect. That was what she was aiming for. Her wanted to beat her mother’s scored. And she barely made it. It was a good attempt and Rose was a bit disappoint, but it just drove her more. In her sixth year, Rose took advantage of her Prefect position. Her nights off, she’d be in the library and her nights on, she’d do her job. Sleep wasn’t something she didn’t try too hard to get unless it was Saturday morning. She also decided to double up on classes and aim for the position of Unspeakable. There wasn’t much in terms of what they did, but she knew there would be something there for her curious mind. She wanted to learn it all. And she was going to. "It's your last year, Rosie. Make the best of it." Rose went through most of the books available to read without notice. Her sixth year spent mostly outside of it, but now she had an appetite for the dark arts. She wanted to know what they were and why they were classified “dark” but there’s no time this year. She needed to focus. She turned down the invitation to be Head Girl to her mother disappointment. But her reasoning was she needed to focus on her studies, she needed to get into the Department of Mysteries.
