THE HOGWARTS POST

Established in 2001 by some ambitious students, the Hogwarts Post came into being as a means to organise and distribute school news - as well as to give students the opportunity to write and discuss their own written work. From gossip columns, to think-pieces, to advertisements and school announcements, the Post acts as the Prophet for the microcosm that is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

And look - it's no Daily Prophet. But it's certainly had its own fair share of scandals over the years, as it has broken many stories that border on the line of propriety. But it's important to remember - it's all for the sake of freedom of speech, and for students to experience 'real' journalism. All pieces are written and researched with the utmost integrity (so their reporters say).

It's a good extra curricular to have and any student with ambitions in journalism covets the job of 'Student Editor', which always catches the eye of big wizarding newspapers looking for fresh graduate interns.

All students who are members of the Post in the student claims are welcome to post articles in this board as they please. The Post does allow write-ins, but these must be approved by the Student Editor before publishing. The Post, like all newspapers, is also more than happy to accept feedback - anonymous or no, your character is more than welcome to write 'letters' to the Post, responding to any articles that are published (whether as replies to the threads directly or as PM's to the editor/writers - I'm sure the Post will end up having a published letters section soon enough).
