There was always a bit of an edge, Louis found, to sucking someone off in a room that members of his family slept in, and he didn’t mean that in an exciting way - more of a deeply terrifying and disturbing one. James and Fred were absolutely fine, and indeed, their roommate was also absolutely fine, but he didn’t really need those particular worlds to collide. But he’d been avoiding his dorm since Miles and Toby had apparently got together the weekend previous, and he and Alex hadn’t seen each other in a while, and what else was he supposed to do when double potions were on, and anyway they’d had to finish up far too quickly just so Louis could breathe.
He couldn’t wait to be out of the castle and no longer having to make every decision based on which member of his extended family was most likely to walk round the next corner. Louis loved his cousins, he had no reason not to, but he didn’t necessarily like most of them most of the time. He particularly didn’t like them infringing on his already limited sex life, the next limit of which was the Charms essay he had to finish before Astronomy that night.
Kissing Alex goodbye, his mouth still minty from borrowed toothpaste (again, he was trying not to think about who used the bathroom), Louis sauntered down the stairs, straightening his tie and meeting any glances on his way out with a raised eyebrow. He could reasonably make it to the library in twenty minutes, giving at least an hour of reading time before he’d have to start thinking about food, he thought, looking at his watch. Stepping onto the staircase, he almost didn’t give the blonde girl moving up it a second glance, so long had it been since he’d seen his sister’s hair this short.
