James Sirius Potter / Nathaniel Cyril Nott I need to respark my muse for this thread. The way James started in it is not the way James is now because I gave in and just made him more like my usual James, if you know what I mean. I can follow up on this thread or we can start a fresh idea somewhere else. What's your thoughts?
James Sirius Potter / Miles Phillip Fawcett-Vance Wouldn't it be AMAZING if the grandson of James Potter and the son of Benjamin Vance actually got on well with one another? I think this is a high possibility, because James is friendly with Dom/Charlotte so it would only make sense that, because Miles is in their little group, he is friendly with Miles as well. What do you think?
Nikolette I. Abercrombie / Nathaniel Cyril Nott WE NEVER DISCUSSED. Here's what I envision: I don't think Niko looks too kindly on Nate asking for handouts of Sight, and Nate probably thinks that Niko is weird because she is, and because they're two relatively headstrong people this has just continued to exacerbate until they're pretty mean to one another, but don't really take it to heart because they've known each other all their lives and know that if it really came down to it, they'd have each other's backs?
Nikolette I. Abercrombie / Miles Phillip Fawcett-Vance Same house, but I think their friendship would be informed heavily from any relationship Cece has with Miles. Niko really is off the beaten path and an outsider. Even with someone in her house, I'm not sure if she'd find reason to talk to him, which is sad, because he's so sweet.
Joy Therese Sweeting / Nathaniel Cyril Nott Can we just like...imagine this thread. She would be so intimidated by him but also totally unimpressed at how mean he can be to other people.
Rochelle Rosmerta / @all Nothing jumps to mind because your characters are all students, but if any of them frequent the Three Broomsticks, we could figure out a way for a pair of them to have some sort of interaction
Oh my god. Ben would absolutely kill him. Let's do it. Because that is amazing. Yes. They need to be friends. However, Miles is never allowed to ask James to hang out with him at his house.
Nate half asks and Cece volunteers. Or that is what Nate would say. Anyway, Nate thinks that Niko is the weirdest thing in the world and he 100% says mean things at her. Also, gives her soap for Christmas and shampoo for her birthday. But also, he has this thing where she is his cousin and so he will tear down anyone else who says anything else to her because only he can be an ass. Everyone else better watch themselves.
Oh my god. Miles needs someone he can tell all sorts of conspiracy theories and also, with a dad like Ben, I feel like it's almost impossible for him to care about what is normal and what isn't. He lives for that sort of thing, haha. Everything that happened at the dance is his favorite thing.

Hmm. These two share a couple of classes, and I think will definitely have interacted, but I don’t think would be friends. Toby could handle a casual conversation with Nate, but anything more than that would bring out their quite significant differences in life philosophy!
I can see these two getting on well! Both in WFABW, same house & both people people. Toby definitely admires and respects Cece, although not sure if they’ve got quite enough in common to be much closer than that. Intrigued to see though!
Miles!!! I adore Miles & Toby does too. Both foster kids (although Miles had a much better time of it), similar interests in & out of classes, and Toby also just appreciates how low Miles’ bullshit tolerance is. I also reckon Toby would love having someone he can talk about intellectual things AND political things with. I’m just very excited for these two can u tell -- lmk any thoughts!
Nate is only allowed to have 2 friends because he is just an awful human being and completely unapologetic about it. Will he roast you in front of everyone? Yes. However, I feel that Nate can tolerate Tobin (because he would never call him Toby as that's too friendly) more than he can the other Hufflepuffs, lol. He appreciates how hardworking he is. Nate hates lazy people, but also totally "?" about him being people pleasing.
I think that not much, haha. I think that Toby and Cece are definitely friends of friends and so they talk to each other. Enough to follow each other on social media and stuff and maybe comment, but not much in closeness. They are in a lot of things, though, so probably casual conversations and she texts him to ask him things about meetings since he's much more responsible.
Ayyyy. I'm glad so many like him. XD SOMEHOW, Miles has become a POSTER CHILD for foster kids and adoption and he HATES IT. He barely remembers his time in foster care aT ALL. It's only because of his Ben that people even make it a big deal and he definitely complains to everyone-not-the-paparazzi. He's the poster child for a lot of things because of how in the spotlight he is. and anyway, Miles "appreciates who Toby is as a person". However, Miles is also completely bamboozled that Toby cares about class because this little Ravenclaw does not at all, lol. He does like talking about the theoretical and political and definitely everything a little imaginative with someone just as intense as him that isn't simultaneously too intense, like Dom.
To be honest, I created Ben because I love him to pieces and Miles is a lot like him, but like a more chill version. He's also doesn't understand how people admire him because he's just...reporting the facts?
Mmm interesting - does he talk about it at all, or is it just kinda in the cultural psyche? Would he tell people about it or no? I wonder how Toby found out if not, could be interesting. Aha fair! I think for Toby it’s kinda two different things - he cares about class because he thinks he needs to do well, he likes talking about politics and theory because he likes it. I need to tease it out!
I bet he complains about it to his friends. I'm not sure that he would have exactly brought it up at first - for all of his social norm breaking habits, he's been groomed on how to act with a little bit of tact. (more like his dad and less like his ben, haha.) It does not help that his family is all over the romance spectrum. Miles is poly, Ben is demi, and Michael is bi. So I say it's more of a cultural psyche, but he talks about it occasionally. I think also that Miles would get along really well with Toby, haha. Must play this out.

Nathaniel Cyril Nott & @jude Honestly? I think Jude would dislike him just because he puts on that facade. She'd see right through that and openly roll her eyes for everyone to see in class - that kind of thing. I don't think they'd be mortal enemies, but definitely can't see them being friends unless he were to make an effort to be (not that he would, idk). Jude is a bit of a fiery personality and outspoken. She is easily fired up, which I'm kind of feeling like Nate would toy with? Let me know whatcha think! I'm open to ideas, just wanted to get the conversation going.
Oh dear, he's most likely going to hate the fact that Alexis constantly looks like she's not had enough sleep and throws her hair up into a bun more times than she cares to imagine, but at least her clothes are always well presented? Also another good thing that he'd never get into her dorm space - it's constantly in a state of disarray. They wouldn't pull any punches with each other if they got to talking, at least. She's probably more interested in the fact he somehow made prefect since she's never seen him in class or with other teachers. In general terms, he'd probably know more about her Fawley roots better than her, maybe even knowing more of her father's side of the family than she did, but if he ever brought it up she'd not even bat an eyelid after first year.

Nothing against Alexis, lol, but Nate generally hates everybody. It's honestly a psychological mystery how he's managed to even have like...3 friends. That being said, yes. Absolutely. He would utterly seethe at the fact that she looks less than her best. Enough that he's definitely called her out on it. Almost to the point of being a mother hen? But like an extremely pissed off mother hen. Like, "Dammit Parker, get yourself together." Also, he goes to class. He just leaves whenever he feels like it. It's not as common as it should be, tbh. At any rate, he's a really good smoothtalker when he wants to be. Little sociopath that he is. They'll definitely butt heads.
This is 100% up to you, but Cece is sort of like her cousin, Nate. She would also want Alexis to look her best and it genuinely bothers her a little that she looks like she hasn't gotten sleep. But, instead of being a jerk about it, she probably recommends all sorts of creams for Alexis to use to help her. Maybe some sleeping potions or of the like. She feels weird about corrupting the youth...or she'd offer drugs. XD
Oh no of course! (I totally just went around doing all the slytherins because they were the easiest to throw ideas at since I'm pretty sure Alex...is (ha) the only 5th year) She'd always accept the help whatever form it came in but still probably somehow look like death. She can put effort in when she wants to, and probably did for the first few months at Hogwarts so people know what she can look like, but gave up when she became more interested in her studies.

Except for his looks, she fancies the pants off of him, but hates herself for it because he's a complete jerk and she has probably told him so plenty of times. Maybe he likes to wind her up and get under her skin because he knows she'll rise to the bait. I don't know. xD
Lucy Anne Weasley ++ Ceres Selene Abercrombie Friends? Lucy is very friendly and outgoing, and they're the same year, so they might have made friends when they were in their younger years. Is her being a seer a secret? Lucy doesn't really believe in all of that stuff, so if she knew about Ceres, she'd be really torn over it, not wanting to insinuate that her friend is a liar, but just thinking seers are full of crap. Haha
Lucy Anne Weasley ++ Miles Phillip Fawcett-Vance Stop having cuties! These two are the same house, she's a year younger, but I think they'd have really hit it off early on and been great friends. Maybe even a bit of romance in their history? She would not be able to hide the fact that she fancies him, no matter how good friends they are, so it probably cropped up in about her fourth year/his fifth. Could have been awkward, or could have led to them dating for a while, it's up to you. Haha I can see them just laughing a lot and being silly and really comfortable together. She's very accepting of the people she cares about, and she just thinks he's wonderful and fun, and will miss him terribly when he graduates.
Nate is just the worst type of human being. He's a garbage human, haha. I love him. He fully understands that he's a handsome devil and leaves it at that. He's handsome and an ass. He doesn't try to pretend otherwise, unless there are teachers about. And even then, he only ever tries a little. Enough to not make them suspicious. One of his favorite things to do is annoy the hell out of the Weasley clan. I think, because Lucy is a little younger, he wouldn't pay as much attention to her unless they're in the same vicinity. Also, it helps her case that she's friends with his cousins, so he is only ever antagonizing when annoyed...or bored, haha.
Yess. I like to think that Cece has all the friends. She's not picky. The only people she fights with are the people who fight with her family. XD ((except Nate cause even she acknowledges that he's irritating)). It's not a secret in the slightest! Cece is the type of Seer that uses her power for even the smallest things - seeing what outfit she's likely to wear, what she should eat for dinner, whether she has time to go to a party or really needs to do her homework. She looks at probable outcomes and chooses what would be best for her. If Lucy is a non-believer or skeptical, her ideals probably fall better in line with Cece's twin, Niko.
Miles, like his dads, are an acquired taste. So he welcomes everyone who gets along with him and doesn't try to pick a fight. He's crazy smart and kind of mean, if for no other reason than he doesn't quite know how to phrase things. He's also open to dating people. The thing is that he's polysexual and doesn't try to hide it, though. It would have been a conversation they would have had to have before dating. he's not really a fan of rules, but that is one that he doesn't compromise on. so depending on how she feels about that. he's also bffs with Dom, so he might have had to "ask" her if it's okay before starting anything with Lucy.
tell me if you hate this and i'll blame the gin not talk about it again, but bunging it out there: could you see these three ending up in a polyamorous rship?
