These two are just so polar opposites in the best ways and similar in the worst and I can already tell how much Dom is going to dislike Nate. They seem to disagree on all the things that Dominique values and are the core of who she is, and both are stubborn and argumentative enough to voice their disagreements - and loudly. She despises his insensitivity, selfishness, and disregard for other people that she no doubt will have been witness to over the years, and I have no doubt that Dominique would have tried to fight Nate on his actions at every turn. She's not one to keep quiet in the face of such things, and no battle is ever too small enough for her to get involved in.
By now I think she'll have been persuaded into simple avoidance by her friends who are doing their best to de-escalate the situation and keep Dom from trouble, and knowing that there were bigger fish to fry than one argumentative Slytherin. But oh man, if she gets goaded and there's no-one else to hold her back...
Safe to say it'd be better for everyone if these two were kept apart - but we know it'd create some delicious drama.
Haha. Nate would realize that they were trying to keep them apart and purposefully try to run into her and start things. But in places where they wouldn't be able to fight. Oh, Dom needs a partner in a S/G class? Nate is literally right there to stop her from going with anyone else. And with pointed barbs, too.
For all of their arguments, I think that Nate has a lot of fun just antagonizing Dom. Because she's the exact opposite of who he is and what he expects, haha. She is too big of a good-doer and it irritates him. And she's not even quiet about it. She has to be big and in your face - the type of thing he doesn't appreciate.
You know I won't keep them apart. XD What fun is it if Nate gets to go around being a jerk to everyone?

So Charlotte is very trusting and believes anyone and mix that with his Charismatic personality this is a ticking time bomb. So there are a few ways that we can probably play this out in regards to how this plan is gonna unfold but considering their backstory;
I'd say since he is a different year and house they probably didn't interact much but maybe Alchemy is were they found their little bond at or started talking at. Maybe she asked for help with something or they were partnered for a project yada yada however we want it to play out. OR plan two
Considering Charlotte is doms BFF chances are that when she finds out they are friendly she is gonna try to warn Charlotte who will be like 'nah give him a chance' (providing him with access to fuck with Dom more and maybe thats his ploy all along?) but regardless she will have faith in him till he crosses a line in which ever way he wants, whether honestly telling her he was using her or whatever your devious mind can think up!
I think this it gonna be super funny since this will probably launch a all out war against Nate from Dom/Charlotte and that'll be interesting as hell to see play out.
I'd be a 100% lying if I said that Nate wouldn't take advantage of that. 100%. Because he absolutely would. I think it would be fun if the two of them started discussing Alchemy because it's one of his favorite subjects. It probably could have started back in her second/his third year where she was curious about it. He probably told her about it, but then kept up the interest in talking to her about it because...you never know when knowing a Hufflepuff will come in handy. XD SO he would absolutely annoy the life out of Dom and then claim any innocence over it. XD
Because he will deny doing anything wrong for the longest time...probably until Charlotte catches him doing something wrong, haha. In which he'll probably confess to being an asshole. But, lowkey, I think he's pretty 'nice' to Charlotte...or, as nice as he can be. Will probably start being sarcastic to her from then on and a lot more assholeish, but helpful in his own way.

I love this idea. If he would deny it till she called him out for it I can see this string being drawn out for quite some time, which if they met in their earlier years would make lots of sense. Maybe something can happen to cause this blow out(im not entirely sure what yet, maybe to have to deal with dom? I'm not sure yet Let me know any ideas you have)
So this thing will obviously lead to Charlotte going after revenge for him using her and if he becomes more and more of a dick itll only feed her rage fire more. My idea is that if she could register that he was nicer to her than others and that all changed she would probably end up blowing up on him one day that had to do like 'yadayada don't pretend we were never friends." and shit like that and that can lead to even more drama with a varied response.
I think, in regards to Dom, that he would avoid the two if they were together. Because he wouldn't want Charlotte to catch on to him being a jerk because those are just carefully thought out plots. It would be drawn out and he'd deny it every time. Like, "Oh, maybe I said something and she misunderstood it? I'll apologize next time I see her." but then totally wouldn't because, ew. Apologizing to Dom.
XD And then she catches him - either it'd be him meanly teasing Dom or any one of their other friends, as I'm sure he's a jerk to quite a bit of them. And Charlotte would be like, "Why are you being like this?" To which he'd just laugh and then probably admit to being an ass. The revenge thing would be funny because I don't think he'd expect it from her. Completely disregard her on that. I want all the drama.

Nathaniel Cyril Nott and Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy Eyyy. Cousinnn! I think Nate probably thinks Astoria's charity is ridiculous. They probably hung out at family things as kids but maybe drifted apart at school? Largely because Scorp and Al started hanging out together. Dunno. But I wanted to plot.
OKAY if Dom is best friends with his son, these two would know each other, and I get the vibe Dom is kind of lowkey obsessed with Ben. It's one of those cliché things of best friends loving each other's dads but lol it fits so well for this. I can imagine over the years she'll have asked his for his opinion/advice on the sorts of projects she was pursuing, and probably found him a wealth of knowledge for what it was like entering the political arena.
Paisley's in the year below, but they're both Slytherin prefects, and I get the feeling that Nate is one of the people Paisley has singled out as being as ambitious as she is - the sort of people she likes to associate herself with is those who want and strive to be successful, just like she does, and she has probably recognised Nate's smarts and charms over the years. She's probably had more than one errant thought about how attractive he is, but she stuffs those thoughts away deep down, because she has more important things to be thinking about than distracting crushes.
Jasper's a friendly and open kind of guy in the same year, and I'm sure just by the size of Hogwarts that they'll know of each other, but I'm not all that sure how they'd interact. Jasper kind of runs away from people who don't share his cheerful positive vibes, and if Jasper ever realised their energies didn't really match up, he would do as much as he could to avoid being confronted with him.
I feel like probably. That's a very Nate thing to do. I don't think he loathes the idea of Astoria's charity because his mum and his great aunts would annoyed at him if he were. But, I don't think he's fond of Scorp's nerdy personality. Especially that he's so open about being such a geek. Irks him. XD I don't think it was Potter that made them drift apart so much as their different personalities coming to head. I'm sure they still talk to each other. Nate probably backs Scorp up whenever he can because family. XD
Nate lives for ambitious people. he loves them. Like, yes, be useful. Do something with your life. Don't just pine away. ((I say that, but then he totally goes and dates and dumps people, what a hypocrite.)) But, he's also an asshole and he wants to know what she means to accomplish. If it's a worthy goal, he'd probably talk to her a lot. Maybe enough to be actual friends. XD

Place a familiar scowl on his face and be on his day. I like the idea of Jasper avoiding him. I think it's real funny. Particularly if Nate ever noticed because he would get a kick out of it. I think Jasper's best bet is to carefully avoid him and never let him notice that that's what he's doing."
Ben is so confused about people actually respecting him and looking up to him. So many people have dismissed him out of hand that actually being a voice that people listen to is flabbergasting. Like, I bet he doesn't even notice that Dom is obsessed with him. Either his son or Michael have to tell him. And, he'll definitely offer advice where he can. Probably put her into contact with a bunch of other likeminded individuals and not really realize that that's not a normal thing to do. XD
Nathaniel Cyril Nott - bff! There is definitely a bond between them, respect and protection. There are so many difference between them but I think that's what makes them so close. They seem to be the only ones who can really tolerate each other completely. But I suggest that their seventh year maybe drives some sort of tension between the two. Maybe Nate things she needs to grow up and get her head into things?
RIDE OR DIE BEST FRIEND FOR LIFE!!! What I think I really appreciate about this relationship is how no-nonsense they're going to be with each other - no worry about hurt feelings, just completely open, brutal honesty. Dom respects and values Miles' opinion above absolutely most people and he's probably one of the only people in the world that can call her out on her shit and she'd be willing to listen. Dom is super big picture and leads with her heart and emotion rather than thinking things through sometimes (just like every stereotypical Gryffindor) and I feel like Miles is such a necessary friend of hers to have to reel her back in sometimes. These two in combo with Charlotte are going to be such a fun trio. UGH. I have so many feelings about these two, I can't wait to see what they get up to.
I feel like these two would be casual friends, but Jasper would probably be just a little bit too intimidated about how smart and hot Miles is to properly put the conscious effort in for them to be really good friends - but he definitely likes the guy and would be his usual friendly self if they ever came into contact for each other.
Hey look, Ezra is probably one of the most laid back teachers at Hogwarts. He would be worried about late homework, but he can tell Miles is smart and more than up to the challenge of NEWTs so he's really not that concerned. Punishments for late work and rule breaking is more just him having to stick to general Hogwarts teacher guidelines, but he isn't really all that strict about it. His view is, if you turn up and have a good enough attitude, he's not too bothered what you get up to - especially come 7th year, Ezra isn't about to lecture his students on how to do their work, he's just here to help and guide them through by this point.
M.Philly believes so very strongly that there is no need sugarcoat things. When Dom is being a ridiculous, mean bleeding heart, he will let her know no matter what that what she has plans is unbelievable for now. XD No, honestly, he loves that Dom is idealistic and sometimes acts before she thinks. He just thinks that it can be a problem and he tries really hard to get her to see the details that go into her big picture. I also like that she would definitely make him more aware of when he's accidentally being a jerk because he doesn't always see it. I am so excited for their friendship, yaaay.
So, yes. Vape friends. I bet M.Philly is just that kind of dude that totally forgets that he needs a refill and just kinda drops next to Jasper at the most random moments and is like, "yo. do you have an extra i will pay you for it, but also extra if it's peach."
